Q: What will the event format look like?

A: The inaugural Schack Tank will take place in one of the rooms at NYU Shcack’s Midtown Campus (11 W 42nd St, New York, NY 10036). You and your team will present a slide deck to a group of 3-5 panelists. Other Schack students will be in attendance.

Q: Will deals get funded with real money?

A: You are presenting real deals or market-driven investment strategies to investors who actively invest. Strong presentations that meet or exceed an investor’s criteria may receive support. Schack Tank is also an opportunity for Schack students to network with each other and make connections that could lead to partnerships.

Q: What kind of deals can I present?

A: For the first Schack Tank’s “Emerging Developer” series we are targeting deals outlined below. If you are unsure, please email mrwonderful@schacktank.com with your deal:

• Purchasing land to develop and sell a house, duplex, or triplex

• Repositioning a retail or industrial property

• Executing a fix-and-flip strategy

• Converting office space into residential units

• Other creative real estate investments that fit the "emerging developer" theme
